Professional Bio
Jay Ballenberger is the coordinator of Denver Public Library's Bizboost service, which supports the area's small business owners by providing free, confidential, and customized business research help. He has worked with hundreds of different business owners in helping them to leverage the sophisticated business tools and databases available for no cost at the Denver Public Library. From exploring the viability of a business idea to analyzing customer demographics and psychographic purchasing behaviour for your next marketing campaign, DPL's Bizboost service wants to see the Denver small business community succeed and we are just one of many services at DPL dedicated to that success. Apart from Jay's Bizboost role, he is a staunch supporter of the rights to intellectual freedom and privacy in libraries and has served as the chair and co-chair of the Colorado Association of Libraries' Intellectual Freedom Committee helping to support library workers who resist efforts of censorship in their libraries and communities.
